How to play poker with WaSioux

WaSioux™ is five-card stud poker. Each player plays against the dealer in the Dealer game, and optionally, the other players at the table in the Player Pot game. The highest ranking five card hand wins.

1. Players place initial wager against dealer.

2. Player may bet one unit in the Player Pot game. (Player Pot game requires 2 or more players to participate.)

3. All players and the dealer are dealt two cards face up.

4. Player decides whether to continue or fold.

5. If player continues, they must make an additional Dealer game wager equal to their initial Dealer game wager and has the choice of continuing in the Player Pot by placing another Player Pot bet.

If player folds, the player sacrifices all wagers on the Dealer game and is eliminated from participating in the Player Pot game.

6. The game continues with third card being dealt face up with another round of betting or folding.

7. The fourth card is delivered face up with
another round of betting or folding.

8. When the fifth card is dealt face up, the game is over.

9. The dealer evaluates and pays players
accordingly. A player that continued thru the
fifth card will be paid an amount equal to the
four Dealer game wagers they made if the
rank of their hand exceeds the rank of the
dealer’s hand. If the dealer’s hand is higher,
the dealer collects all four of the Dealer game bets made by the player.

10. If the dealer hand does not qualify, all players that continued until the end of the hand and have a higher hand ranking than the dealer
will win only the amount of their initial dealer
wager. The dealer must qualify with a pair of
Jacks or better.

11. The highest ranking player hand amongst
the players that continued to participate in the Player Pot wins the entire Player Pot.
